EPANET Version and Libraries Compatibility Notice

The provided EPANET networks were created using EPANET 2.3, which does not offer backward compatibility with previous versions.

Please be aware that tools and libraries built on older EPANET versions may fail to open these files or display numerous warnings when attempting to do so.
Even if you successfully open the files with legacy tools, the hydraulic results may differ substantially from EPANET 2.3, as it includes numerous bug fixes and improvements over previous versions.

• EPyT (Python library)
• epanet-matlab (MATLAB library)

Our Recommendation

We strongly recommend using EPANET 2.3 or tools explicitly compatible with version 2.3 when developing your solution. We cannot guarantee that results produced with unsupported tools will match our evaluator's output, as it relies on EPANET 2.3 as the hydraulic engine.
