Need help with Oversteer installation for Logitech G923 PC/Xbox version

Hello! I'm a new user of Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon.
Please need help with Oversteer 0.8.3. I have 2 days searching for help to install and use properly this app for my Logitech G923 PC/Xbox wheel. I can't find nothing. I'm new in Linux and have no idea what to do! I receive "No device available" when I start the app and this error in terminal:
meson.build:16:5: ERROR: Command /usr/bin/python3 -c 'import importlib.util; import sys; exit(1) if importlib.util.find_spec('"'"'evdev'"'"') is None else exit(0)' failed with status 1

When I try to install Ninja another error:
ninja install
ninja: error: loading 'build.ninja': No such file or directory

Also in terminal I receive this error:

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded.

Please, follow exactly the Build and Install instructions in the README without skipping any step.

How did you run it? Have you installed the Flatpak?

I installed Flatpak and also Oversteer 0.8.3. I followed the copy/paste scheme from GitHub (although for a new user it's extremely incomplete and lack of details which a normal Linux user would consider unimportant of course) . Anyway during and after the installation, when it comes at the errors, I didn't knew what to do further as I explained in the initial request message.

What's the USB vendor/product id? It can be read using command lsusb.

Can you try this command?

sudo usb_modeswitch -v 046d -p c26d -M 0f00010142 -C 0x03 -m 01 -r 01

If it works, you'll need to run it on every system boot.

It works! Now I have my wheel in Oversteer. But why the app doesn't take my dark theme and remains light???

Ok. Now my wheel it's in Oversteer, but my game (ATS) doesn't start anymore, screen comes black, and my system becomes stuck so I have to force the reboot (which is not good at all). Seems this app doesn't like my PC and I have to keep playing only with my keyboard until somehow in the future I will find another way to use my wheel. Anyway thanks for your help!

After trying hard (during 3 days) to find any solution and achieve a good installation and use of oversteer I only achieved to lose my time and to broke my system and I had to make a clean reinstall of Linux. It's frustrating for a new user! I spoke with a lot of my friends and they told me the same: "Oversteer is for advanced Linux users not for beginners. For new Linux users oversteer worth nothing! The dev doesn't give a shit about them!" (literal transcript). For my part I think the same. The dev made me to lose my time and broke my system so I will qualify this "program" worthless. BTW, the dev does not told me that I can use my wheel in Linux by default (which I do now). My Logitech G923 works in Linux perfect without need of any other worthless "programs"! If others will try to install Oversteer I tell you NOT! You don't need it in Linux! In Linux the Logitech G923 works by "Plug&Play!" and you can configure everything (included FFB) in-Game Configuration. I tested G923 in ATS and works perfect only installing the Game nothing more!

I've had never claimed that you needed Oversteer. How you got here is possibly the source of your misunderstanding. You should have stated from the start what was your real goal.

I didn't break your system, you did. The commands I gave you are harmless and their effects can be removed with a simple reboot.

I commend you for your patience @berarma. I am also looking to learn how to make my setup work with more games, but this level of entitlement baffles me!
