Section A: The hand cursor

The current hand cursor design looks like optimized too much for small cursor size settings. When encreasing at larger sizes the design looks like it is too optimized for small size. The hand corner's bottom left corner looks sharp. The thumb design is too simple (which is why I mention that it looks like it was designed for small variant). Also I noticed the the grabing icons has a punch gesture instead of a grab gesture. Lastly the pointing gesture doesn't look good at size 24. The nuckle bumps are not so obvious at these size.

Section B: shades for contrast optimization

Referencing the macos cursors (image from above), I think I now understand the intent of having white fill colors to some of their cursors. Focusing on hand cursor which I think would have better semantic when in white fill color.

@Jupi007 can you check out the changes I added.

• made the left_ptr with additional context (e.g. context menu, left_ptr_wartch ) have smaller pointer icon and made a uniform size for circular context elements (e.g, stop sign, add sign and the spinner).
• added some colors (green, red).
• used solid color instead of gradient color for the main bg of the cursors
• inverted some of the cursors ( Hand type, dotbox, and tcross, zoom-in/zoom-out) but I think dot box and tcross are not used anymore.
• also for the animated spinners I intentionally made the thickness a non integer value (1.5 px) and it actually works in reducing the alliased look for smaller variants. I made the changes for watch and left_ptr watch but recently I observed that it looks too alliased for the smallest variant in my monitor. the intentional non pixel fit approach is actually used by google's material design in some cases and it actually works.

Also I'm not familiar with the input files for the cursors, the hand type ones have shifted elements so I'm not sure what hotspot coords I will add for each sizes. I have no Idea who to mention regarding this,

If I remember correctly, in .in files each line is formatted in this way:

asset_size hotspot_x hotspot_y asset_path

You should also update the hotspot layer in the SVG source file.

Can we safely sync with upstream? There are a lot of changes. Currently we still include cursors that are not already used. They also have a new input file generation. I think we should update our cursors folder.
