Just a little housekeeping suggestion to remove versioneer and use setuptools_scm instead.
Note that with this change,
crick/_version.pyis no longer shipped and the package must be installed (even withpip install -e) for it to be created, otherwise you get anImportErrorfrom__init__.py.
