For the convenience of other SDOs that are developing YANG modules for transport equipment management ITU T has made a copy of the YANG modules developed by ITU-T SG15 available in this repository.
-
The published/ directory contains copies of YANG modules that are an integral part of approved ITU T Recommendations. The official and normative versions of these YANG modules are integral components of the respective ITU-T Recommendations, which are exclusively available through the ITU official channels and publications. These official versions can only be modified by using the ITU-T standardization procedures, that requires the approval of a revision, amendment, or corrigendum of the corresponding ITU T Recommendation.
-
The draft/ directory contains copies of YANG modules that are an integral part of ITU T Recommendations currently under development. The original files are under the control of ITU T and are held on an ITU file server. Modifications to these draft versions are exclusively managed using the formal ITU-T standardization procedures. Each of these YANG modules can only be modified by the Question that is responsible for the corresponding Recommendation.
-
This Git repository is not the official source for these YANG modules that are an integral part of ITU-T Recommendations. They are provided on this repository as a service to the community to enhance discoverability and facilitate the use of ITU-T YANG modules. For official ITU-T Recommendations, please refer to the ITU website.

Subject to the conditions below, ITU grants users a limited, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable license to copy and use, but not to modify, the YANG modules located in the https://github.com/openitu/YANG/tree/main directory and all subdirectories in their implementations:
a. No Modification: Users are expressly prohibited from altering, adapting, or modifying the ITU-T YANG modules in any way. By way of clarification, the permission to "use" the ITU-T YANG modules includes the ability to ‘augment’ them within the user's own YANG modules. Augmentation is a standard YANG mechanism for extending existing data models. However, this license does not permit users to copy portions of the ITU-T YANG modules into new, independently created YANG modules, even if in a different namespace. Such actions would be considered unauthorized modifications.
b. Attribution: Users must acknowledge ITU-T as the source of the YANG modules
c. No Warranty: THE ITU-T YANG MODULES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL ITU BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ITU-T YANG MODULES OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE ITU-T YANG MODULES
d. Official Source: The official and normative versions of ITU-T YANG modules are those published as part of ITU-T Recommendations and available through official ITU channels. In case of any discrepancy, the official ITU-T Recommendations shall prevail.
e. Revocation: ITU reserves the right to revoke this license at any time and for any reason, by providing notice on this repository
